The Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber is embarking on its sixth annual intercity visit and leadership conference, Aspire. During Aspire South Sound leaders head to a new location to learn about leading innovations, bold programs, and fresh partnerships that are driving a particular city forward. Aspire's purpose is to explore these new programs and initiatives in a city similar to our community, giving us a chance to learn from one of America’s other great cities, and then adapt its best practices to meet the growing needs of the South Sound.
In 2025, this group heads to Detroit -- a city defined by transformation, resilience, and reinvention. The Aspire Intercity Leadership Conference brings together business, civic, nonprofit, and education leaders to explore what’s working in forward-thinking cities and how we can adapt those ideas to the South Sound. From mobility to manufacturing, Detroit offers daring lessons for the future.
