About Us

Junior Achievement of Washington's purpose is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. Junior Achievement’s proven lessons in financial literacy, work and career readiness, and entrepreneurship are shown to positively impact the lives of young people. These lessons align with national and state educational standards and are delivered to millions of students across the country with the help of our education partners and volunteers from the local community. Research shows that JA Alumni are more likely to have a college degree, feel confident managing money, have career success, and have started a business as an adult.

Ms. Stephanie Brennan
Regional Director for South Puget Sound and JA of Washington is committed to delivering relevant, compelling, and innovative educational experiences that build young people’s capacity, spur economic development, and contribute to global advancement. Junior Achievement joins with school districts, community partners, and volunteers at every grade level to allow children to explore the world of business and finance. Our approach infuses eye-opening economic realities with the joys and possibilities of envisioning their future. In partnership with community organizations and volunteers, JA transforms the student experience with in-person and virtual programs that apply everyday learning. In addition to offering all traditional programs in a virtual format, JA provides resources that students can use independently, with a parent or other adult, or with teachers to continue their learning. Teachers, parents, guardians, and students can find additional virtual learning resources here.
